Soil
Erosion Demonstration Area |
| The main demonstration site at Tivington Farm will consist of three tillage treatments, each with two replicate sediment traps. | ||||||||||||
| Ecological
Monitoring Area
| Five fields (~39ha ) make up the ecological monitoring area. Two of these will be conventionally ploughed while the other three subjected to some form of conservation tillage for the duration of the project. Measurements of terrestrial ecology and soil microbiology will be undertaken on these fields. In addition, the three conservation tillage fields will be the centre of the project's aquatic ecology work and will be used to assess whether minimum tillage improves the flora and fauna of the adjacent stream. | ||||||||||||
